A step forward to the perfection !
For the manufacturers of MC type phono cartridges, High output energy under Low impedance has been an eternal thesis, which was successfully solved in the form of the “PC-1 Supreme” thanks to development of our exclusive ultra-hi-μ core material SH-μX.
Our target having been focused on furtherance of lower impedance, now proudly introduced is the PC-1 Supreme offering an astounding inner impedance as low as 1=. To make this possible, on top of the epoch-making SH-μ X we employed thicker wires (from 40μ up to 55μ in diameter), thus succeeding in reducing the winding number of the coil by as much as 40%.
The further advantages thus achieved are:
1) Expansion of reproduction bandwidth.
2) Extension of dynamic range.
3) Improvement of transient characteristics.
4) Betterment of phase characteristics(smaller phase shift)
In terms of playback music, expansion of both of the bandwidth and dynamic range provides
clearer, life-like soundstage presentation, whilst improvement in transient and phase
characteristics makes it possible to separate ultra heavy bass range and to offer higher resolution
in orchestral performance, thus enabling to hear individual instrument.
